What Are Toxins And How Do They Affect Cellulite
November 11, 2014
Toxins might sound like a myth but are in fact a very real, everyday occurrence. They are technically described as a chemical or poison that is known for its harmful effect on our bodies. These can come from many sources such as food, water, the air we breathe as well as pesticides and other fertilizing chemicals.
The human body has vital organs like the liver, kidneys, colon and your skin that works to eliminate this toxic waste through the form of urination, respiration, perspiration and excretion.
Your liver works around the clock to deal with toxins you breathe in, consume, or put on your skin. If the liver is overworked and can't handle it all, cellulite can be the result as toxins tend to accumulate in fatty tissue creating a hardening affect as well breaking down your connective tissue.
The lymphatic system also plays an important role in the development of this problem. The lymph system is far more important than you may think. Its two main functions are to aid in blood circulation and to carry toxins away from healthy tissue. It is of utmost importance to keep the lymph system moving and flowing.
Remember that your lymph system does not have it's own pump like your blood flow has your heart. It's your body's responsibility to stimulate the lymphatic flow and it does this through movement!
Exercise, deep breathing and regular weekly invigorating massages are three important ways to stimulate the cleansing flow of the lymph. Exercises that target your lymph flow include the ones that require an up and down motion.
